Connecting To nature

Connecting With Nature:

Mother Nature is a great teacher and getting kids outside to learn and play is good for their brains and their bodies. A connection to nature is a sense of joined destiny and belonging between humans and the rest of the natural world. We may exist in relationship to each other physically distant or close but a sense of connection keeps nature close to the heart, it is intimate. Like any relationship there is a range of feelings: mutual respect, understanding, love, awe, empathy, belonging, fascination, need, happiness, joy and on the flip side may be discomfort, pain, sadness, guilt, longing, expectation; these in balance are also the components of wellbeing.  Our sense of connection begins when we are born as part of the natural world, into the natural world.

Need to connect with Nature

  1. Spending time in nature helps Students with recall and memory, problem solving, and creativity. Children (and adults) who spend more time outside are physically healthier and less stressed.
  2. Direct, unstructured, and creative contact with nature allows children autonomy over their own outdoor experiences. Such experiences help them gain empathy for nature and their local surroundings, and understand their connections to the natural world..
  3. Frequent, positive early childhood experiences with nature have a major impact on the healthy growth of a child’s mind, body and spirit. Hands-on, informal, self-initiated exploration and discovery in local, familiar environments are often described as the best ways to engage and inspire children and cultivate a sense of place and a ‘sense of wonder’.
  4. Provide Opportunities for Social Connection: Young children naturally engage in learning about the environment through informal, spontaneous, unrestricted play with others, The chance to socialize and build friendships may be a key motivator for engaging with nature and the environment. Research suggests that for many young people, the friendships they make and the opportunities to have fun are significant outcomes of participation and are ‘valued ends in themselves.

Why MPKP Training Methodology on connecting with nature will work for students?

  • Because we teach students how to think, not what to think about environmental issues.

  • MPKP’s vision is to teach independent life skills to each and every individual and committed to helping children act on the understanding that we are all interconnected and interdependent with nature — and each other. Helping young people develop a love of nature is key to achieving that vision.

  • MPKP’S Primary focus will be to teach students about how nature works and what it needs to remain healthy and productive. This will develop greater confidence in them and they learn to accept themselves, resulting in higher Self- Esteem.

  • MPKP highly diversified and Research driven Methodology creates a Life Long Learning Mindset in Students – One of the Valuable Gifts that we can give to Students that they will cherish for Lifetime.
