Life Skills Programme for individuals
MPKP Career & Life Skills Programme provides a safe place for individuals to engage in meaningful activities that promote independence and increase the skills needed to lead a rewarding life. Activities are tailored to each individual’s goals and are rooted in the whole-person philosophy of maximizing a person’s overall health, well-being, and quality of life. MPKP Life Skills Training focuses on the six domains of functioning: cognitive, emotional, physical, social, spiritual, and vocational. Focusing on these six domains of functioning allows us to adequately prepare individuals for an independent lifestyle they are capable of achieving. We believe that our Career Skills Program prepare and engage individuals in a dynamic global community so as to successfully meet the challenges and opportunities of the global workforce.
We follow a curriculum designed for each individual based on their strengths with emphasis on achieving their personal goals. Our programs include: Life Skills Training, Career guidance Workshops, Career Counseling (for Students as well as Parents), Career Tests, Motivational Trainings, Teacher Empowerment Workshops, Parents Panel Discussion. Additionally, there is opportunity for social interaction and the development of social skills, leading them to improved experiences with community integration.
MPKP Life skills programs are designed to teach a broad set of social and behavioral skills—also referred to as “soft” or “non-cognitive” skills—that enable individuals to deal effectively with the demands of everyday life. The core Life skills for individuals are outlined below:
